The NewAge Bold Series 50416 is a comprehensive 14-piece garage cabinet system designed to transform a cluttered garage into an organized, functional workshop. It is ideal for homeowners, DIY enthusiasts and anyone needing full-wall storage for tools, automotive gear and household items.
In real world use, the system excels at maximizing vertical and horizontal space with four multi-use lockers, four wall cabinets, base cabinets and two rolling tool drawer units. The stain-resistant bamboo worktops provide a tough, easy-to-clean surface for projects, while lockable doors keep valuable tools secure.
There are a few considerations to note. The entire set is extremely heavy and requires wall anchoring, so you will need a friend to help with the multi-hour assembly and a large, clear wall spanning 18 feet. Some users have noted the locks are basic and the steel, while sturdy, is not as heavy as premium industrial cabinets.
Overall, the Bold Series 50416 delivers outstanding organization, durability and style for a complete garage makeover. The NewAge Bold 3.0 9-Piece Set is a full wall garage storage system designed for homeowners, DIY enthusiasts and workshop owners who need serious organization. Spanning 132 inches wide, it combines multi-use lockers, wall cabinets, base cabinets and a rolling tool cabinet to turn a cluttered garage into a functional workspace.

The modern gray finish and warm bamboo top create a clean, professional look, and owners consistently praise the solid magnetic closures, smooth drawer operation and excellent packaging with all hardware included.
There are practical considerations before buying. At over 460 pounds total, the cabinets are heavy and installation takes several hours and ideally two people to level and secure properly. The large footprint demands ample wall space, and all fixed cabinets must be anchored to a wall for safety, which may not suit renters or temporary setups.
Overall, the Bold 3.0 9-Piece Set delivers pro level durability, security and versatility for anyone serious about garage organization. Assembly is required and can take some time for first-time buyers. The repositionable function works best with Gladiator GearTrack or GearWall, which are sold separately, and mounting multiple cabinets side by side directly to studs can require extra planning or additional track.

Head-to-Head: System Versus Single Cabinet
Footprint and System Size
The NewAge Products Bold Series Gray 14 Piece Set is built to cover a wall with 4x multi-use lockers, 4x wall cabinets, 2x two-door base cabinets, 2x rolling tool drawer cabinets and 2x 48 inch bamboo worktops. The Gladiator Ready-to-Assemble Full-Door Wall measures 28 inch H x 28 inch W x 12 inch D, so you can tuck it above a workbench, beside a door or into a utility nook where a full locker bank would overwhelm the space.
For you, the difference is commitment versus flexibility. Choose the NewAge Products Bold Series Gray 14 Piece Set when you have an open wall and want base storage plus tall lockers plus overheads in one coordinated look, and choose the Gladiator Ready-to-Assemble Full-Door Wall when you need to add enclosed wall storage without reworking the whole garage layout or blocking vehicle doors. Measure vehicle swing and bench depth first, because a full locker wall needs clearance while a single overhead box does not.
Weight Capacity and Shelf Adjustability
Listed capacities tell a clear story for both systems. The NewAge Products Bold Series Gray 14 Piece Set lists total weight capacities of 800 lbs for multi-use lockers, 600 lbs for rolling tool cabinets, 600 lbs for base cabinets and 100 lbs for wall cabinets, with height-adjustable steel shelves to fit tall bottles or short bins. The Gladiator Ready-to-Assemble Full-Door Wall lists up to 150 lbs per cabinet and 40 lbs per shelf with two adjustable shelves for storage versatility.
Think about what you will actually load in your garage. You can assign bulky totes and hanging gear to the NewAge Products Bold Series Gray 14 Piece Set lockers and reserve its wall cabinets for lighter chemicals and rags, while you can use the Gladiator Ready-to-Assemble Full-Door Wall for smaller automotive or gardening gear and paint supplies. If you worry about bowing, read these fixes for cabinet shelves sagging under tool weight to plan load placement and shelf spacing before you load up.
Build Materials, Locks and Work Surface
Both brands lean on steel with protective finishes, but the details differ in ways you will notice daily. The NewAge Products Bold Series Gray 14 Piece Set is built with 24-gauge steel frames and doors with a powder-coat paint finish, fully-lockable doors with full-length aluminum handles, and easy-to-clean and stain-resistant bamboo worktops. The Gladiator Ready-to-Assemble Full-Door Wall is described as a steel GearBox with full door and EZ assembly design, focused on enclosed wall storage rather than a built-in work surface.
Security and cleanup matter in a busy garage with kids, dust and shared tools. You get lockable coverage across every NewAge Products Bold Series Gray 14 Piece Set door plus wipeable bamboo for projects, while the Gladiator Ready-to-Assemble Full-Door Wall gives you a closed front to hide clutter and protect labels from dust. For more context on keeping tools secure, see these locking metal garage cabinets for tool security in 2026 and match lock coverage to what you store.
Installation, Mounting and Expandability
Installation is wall-first for one and track-first for the other, so check your walls before you order. The NewAge Products Bold Series Gray 14 Piece Set notes that all fixed cabinets are designed to be secured to a wall for safety, with height-adjustable legs on fixed cabinets to handle uneven floors and 4 inch anti-tip locking casters on the rolling tool cabinet so you can move tools where you need them. The Gladiator Ready-to-Assemble Full-Door Wall includes hanger brackets that allow the unit to be repositioned on Gladiator Wall Systems to wherever you need it most.
For your planning, the NewAge Products Bold Series Gray 14 Piece Set suits you if you can locate studs, level multiple tall units and dedicate time to a full wall build, while the Gladiator Ready-to-Assemble Full-Door Wall suits you if you already use or plan to add compatible wall panels and want fast repositioning. Explore the full Garage Cabinets and Lockers collection if you want to grow piece by piece instead of committing to one wall at once.
Which One Should You Get
Choose NewAge Products Bold Series Gray 14 Piece Set if you own a two car garage or workshop that needs a complete reset with tall hanging storage, base cabinets and usable bamboo worktops in one style. You are the higher-end pick buyer who wants coordinated lockable storage for everything from power tools to seasonal gear, and you have wall length to anchor lockers and overheads while keeping rolling tool cabinets mobile for projects. Owners commonly report using the closet rod in lockers for jackets and the bamboo tops for assembly tasks.
Choose Gladiator Ready-to-Assemble Full-Door Wall if you rent, have a small single bay, or just need a more budget-conscious option for enclosed overhead storage above a bench or utility sink. You want fast assembly, repositionable brackets and a 150 lb rated box for paint and garden supplies without rebuilding the garage. Another option worth a look is NewAge Products Garage Storage Cabinets Steel Bold if you like NewAge styling but want a smaller 9 piece footprint.
Who Should Skip Both
Both of these enclosed systems are not ideal for damp, unsealed sheds or for buyers who need open, grab-and-go access for daily landscaping crews. If you store long lumber, kayaks or engine hoists, or you cannot secure cabinets to studs and level them properly, skip this enclosed cabinet style and look at open racking or heavy duty freestanding benches instead. You will be happier with open shelving or a dedicated lumber rack that does not rely on enclosed doors and wall anchoring.
